From one of our collections made high up on Volcán Agua close to Antigua in Guatemala. A perennial species of this unusual member of the bell-flower family, more usually encountered as C. scandens the cup and saucer vine. An herbaceous climber with pale green pinnately compound leaves terminating in a spring-like tendril, bearing large yellow-green bell-shaped flowers with protruding stamen from late summer. Cultivate in a sheltered spot or in a conservatory, keep moist when in growth. Height to 6m.
