Evergreen shrubby tree, with long glossy pale green leaves, usually glaucous beneath. Bears umbels of fragrant, star shaped, ivory-white flowers in May. Requires full sun and moist well drained soil, sheltered from cold winds. Grown from seed of the tree in our walled garden.
