From a seed collection we made on Volcán Agua at 2500m, just before being parted from my camera, by a machete. From a perennial member of this family with tuberous waxy roots and narrow grassy basal foliage to 40cm long. Flowering on a slender vertical stem to 1.2m tall with few leaves and terminal and axillary orange starry flowers borne in long succession.
