Helichrysum (Asteraceae) BSWJ9503

wightii

From one of our collections gathered from Doddabetta, the highest point of the Nilgiri Hills, Tamil Nadu, Southern India. Where we found clumping plants to 50cm tall of soft textured elliptic leaves topped by yellow-orange tinted papery ray-flowers 2.5cm across, scattered at the highest point. Easily grown in a sunny situation in a well drained soil, hardy in a sheltered position, but short lived and should be propagated regularly.
