From our collection made in the north of Taiwan near Ming Chin in 1996. A rare woodland gems from what used to be part of the lily family, forming a tight ground hugging perennial rosettes of obovate thick-textured persistent leaves to 8cm long. Bearing a conspicuous umbel of 5-9 white ageing pink starry flowers on upright short stems to 20cm long in spring. Requires partial shade and moist but well drained soil.
