An invaluable slow-growing woodland perennial which is a members of the buttercup family forming clumps of rosettes of slender cobwebby stalks which unroll in early spring bearing three-lobbed leathery leaves, being semi-evergreen in all but very cold or very dry conditions. Bearing slightly cupped bright white flowers in early spring for week at a time. Height to 8cm, spread to 30cm. Easily grown in a well drained soil with ample moisture retention affording cool shade in the summer and preferably good light in spring.
