One of the largest species we have so far encountered, capable of reaching a heady 3m tall, as with the plant we collected the seed from in Aomori in the cold north of Japan in 2005. With reddish stout stems bearing wide complex umbels of white flowers, followed by elliptic flat seed and large 2-3 times divided basal leaves composed of large leaflets. Easily grown in any type of drained fertile soil in sun or part shade.
