A much coveted evergreen small tree where we collected the seed of this species in the lowlands of Taiwan. With decorative thick textured bi-tri pinnately composed leaves 20-40cm long held stiffly on the stems to 3-4m tall. The leaves comprised of elliptic long tipped and toothed leaflets. Capable of bearing 10-20cm panicles of lilac flowers. Best planted in a container in a well drained compost, in full sun protect from frost.
