From my own seed collection made in Sichuan, China. Of a tuberous rooted perennial species that forms a basal clump of hairy textured oblong-elliptic leaves. In summer and autumn sticky whorls of long-lipped dark-purple flowers on stems clothed with oval, grey-green leaves are borne. Height 60-90cm, spread 1m. Requires full sun well drained soil.
