Senna (Caesalpiniaceae) BSWJ9772

alata

A sub-shrub, forming a tight basal clump of annual sturdy shoots, to 1.5m. A collection we made on a hike over the hills surrounding Dalat a delightful Vietnamese hill station where it grew on open pasture forming tidy well branched small shrubs with bright yellow corymbs of pea-flowers positively glowing against the fresh green pinnate foliage. Should flower from spring till frost in full sun and a well drained soil. Hardiness not known.
