An unusual deciduous dioecious climber originating from China, conspicuous in its ghostly mealy white twining stems, bearing elongated trifoliate elegant leaves emerging with a bronzy cast. With axillary long pendant racemes of small white flowers born from early summer resulting in small deep lilac ellipsoid fruit on female plants. Best grown in a fertile drained soil enriched with organic matter, in a sheltered sunny site out of the coldest winds.
