Veronicastrum (Scrophulariaceae)

A rare climbing perennial found only in a confined area of Honshu, Japan. On long scandent stems to 2m, with long narrow hairy foliage, bearing short axillary spikes of outward-facing deep blue-purple flowers, in late summer-autumn. Requires full sun and a well drained soil.
