Seldom seen or recognised, bearing some similarities to its close relative of Deutzia. On forming a lowish shrub 1.2m tall with spreading branches of distinct grey-green foliage with impressed parallel venation and dentate-serrate margins. Bearing cymose clusters of open slightly fragrant flowers May-June. Easily grown in any type of well drained soil in full sun.
