Twinning herbaceous pubescent perennial which in time can form wood at its base, with opposite 10cm long heart-shaped leaves decoratively glaucous below and axillary racemes of pale purple to white widely opening star-shaped flowers. Which are followed by large inflated elliptic seed-pods full of silky seed. Easily grown in any kind of well drained fertile soil, best in full sun to part shade.
