Description
A small deciduous tree that I encountered in the mountains of Taiwan in the autumn of 2007, which we were given seed of, that is more likely to only be a shrub in cultivation. Bearing parchment textured obovate to oblong serrulate and long tipped leaves to 11 cm long, with terminal cymes on small branches of white flowers followed by red ovate fruit ageing to almost black. Easily grown in any type of drained fertile soil in sun or part shade.
